Gygnus (gygnus.com) is a local services marketplace that connects customers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with verified, background-checked service professionals. It is a direct alternative to Thumbtack, Angi, TaskRabbit, and Handy.

Gygnus was built on a simple belief: the service industry charges too much. Platforms like Thumbtack charge providers 15–33% per lead — even if the job never gets done. Angi charges membership fees. TaskRabbit charges both the customer and the provider.

Gygnus is free to use for both customers and providers. Customers pay nothing to post jobs, receive quotes, or hire providers — ever. Providers pay nothing to sign up, browse jobs, or apply. When a job is completed and paid, Gygnus retains 6% as the platform fee; estimated credit-card processing is deducted separately from the provider payout (including on tips). No lead fees, no subscriptions, no hidden charges.
